Barbie strikes again. I was riding in the subway and saw some girl next to me reading an antropology research paper on Barbie and society. I wonder what kind of a scientist wrote that piece and when – among other things, it claimed that pregger Barbie does not exist, but should.
Excuse me, but what is this then?

I also feel obliged to explain to you how Barbie has children.

Sometimes she uses an adhesive belly with a ready-made baby (comes fully clothed)

At other times the baby is naked and serves as a replacement for all of her intestents
In the meanwhile, The Economist writes away about Barbie - there is a reason why I like this magazine. And yes, I do hope Mattel makes a Barbie banker.

I was once again alerted by the fabulous NY Mag programmers that the new look is coming to ALL of the NY Mag pages, one of which was the slideshow for the Chanel Couture Spring 2009 collection. This being the prettiest collection I have seen this year, I had to post.
I also applaude NY Mag for picking up the story of Shaun Ross, a super hot albino model, just as NYT did last year. I follow the albino threads in the news since my studies on South Africa. I hate the stupidity that arises in people because of the basic lack of education. Maybe Ross and other visible people like him could be an answer?

Shaun Ross is hot
According to some blogs, back in 2007 Connie Chiu of Hong Kong used to the world’s only albino model.

It is a disgustingly rainy day here, at 40.7142°N 74.0064°W, so I stole Jesse’s SLR again, and wondered around a bit. This industrial slum is where I happen to burry my bone for now. Without further ado…

Couture.com reports that red is the color of the season on the New York runways.

6119 Ilana Sutherland, Fall 2009
Wall Street Journal reports the same globally.

Goodbye, business school financing.

Twiggy used to be the hottest female of all times, and, in the words of Stephen Colbert, SO CAN YOU!

i started looking up all these pretty pictures after browsing through some stuff by C.P. Company and rag & bone. if financing of my b school education does not work out asap, i will degenerate to looking up pictures all day long. stupid global economy, i’d kill it.
i also heard there is this thing called Fashion Week. i heard about it from some coffee-mazed NY Mag programmers, so browsed through the site as a tribute to their hard work. me likes Preen’s collection, rag & bone, and, but of course, Barbie’s 50th Anniversary Show(a respectable drag queen could easily find a good outfit in that collection). as the rest of the crazy females who followed the innaguration just to see what Mrs. Obama would wear, i expected tons from Jason Wu, but i think his stuff sucked.
P.S. i did not tell you this, but if you want to follow The Week without the cluttered madness of NY Mag, check out the NYT Fashion Week coverage.
P.P.S. if i go on at this rate, i will soon be posting about Gossip Girl. there’d better be some way to finance that MBA, or less!
